I mentioned this in the emergency forum but havent really got a booming response, so Im hoping other shark owners could be found more easily here..my juvi red tail shark is extremely shy, hiding most of the time, his colours are poor, and he has now developed little pin holes in his fins.ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all undetectable, and pH is 7.5. He went through the second half of the cycling process, which I know is very bad but I was naive at the time...he was once quite boisterousand colourful but is now sad and pale...please help!!!

Hi, we have several red tail sharks, which occassionally went dull, infact grey! at this point we ran tests and the water was fine but we did a 25% water change and added some stress coat / dechlorinator and they literally come back to black over night.

They do go dull if they do not have rocks and tunnels to hide in, we use lava rock....

my red tailed shark recently went dull and her tail almost see through, the only thing i could think of which i had changed was changed the dechlorinator which no longer has stress coat in it..... i have gone back to it now and changed the tank round a little bit to add more shelter and she seems to have chirped up
