My pearl gourami doesn't seem to be to well and i need some help trying to find out whats wrong. She hasn't eaten anything for about 4-5 days now and she spends all her time hiding out at the back of the tank behind the rocks and plants, away from the other fish. I have her for about 4 months now and she never used to act like this. Im guessing that it might be a bacterial infection but im not sure so any help is greatly apprecated, and also if it is a bacterial infection, what would be the best treatment? I also have a number of cories in the tank so im guessing salt is out of the question. Cheers

Once fish stop eating not good news.
Gouramis are very prone to bacterial infections, has the fish bloated up, can it maintain it's balance in the water.
Can you post stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Hi Wilder tanks for your reply, well first off she hasn't bloated up and is able to swim away fine.
Secondly my stats are Amonia- 0mg/l
NO3- between 50 and 100mg/l
NO2- 0mg/l
And lastly the PH is about 6.8
Cheers

I would try her on a bacterial med, but once a fish stops eating not good news.
Good luck.
