excess mucous caused by something in the water irritating the fish

do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week.
make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
 
Salt and Cory's are not a good mix, unless you know what you are doing. Be careful. I would just water change it out.

This is probably best. I didnt know they were considered scaleless so I would listen to others here on what to do
 
Corysdoras are not scaleless, they have scutes rather than scales. The term "catfish" includes many different types of fish, some of which are scaleless. After a while, all catfish got 'tarred with the same brush' so it became a myth that cories are scaleless.

Being soft water fish, cories, like other soft water fish, cannot tolerate salt permanently and only small amounts for short periods.
