Hi all,

Well usually my Dwarf Gourami who I am very fond of is very active. Usually he sits in the plants at the back and whenever anyone goes near the tank he zooms out to greet them.

In the past few days he seems to be not quite right. He still is hungry in the morning when I put the lights on but after I feed him, he just goes back in his little corner and sort of 'plays dead'. Also yesterday he came right to the front of the tank and just sort of leant against the glass.

What could be the problem??

Water params are all fine, and the only new additions to the tank were 4 neon tetras (quarantined for 12 days with no problems).

Please help me as I am very fond of him,
Thanks,
Elise

What tankmates does he have? Could it be a developing agression problem? Everytime i've had dwarf gouramis that have exhibited the same symptoms it's due to bullying.
Does he have a female? Normally they like to be kept in pairs as if they're alone they tend to fall prey to loneliness and lots of illnesses.
