Hello :)

Now that my Tank has returned to normal and everfishy was happy I decided to restock my tank.
Last week I purchased more fish, 2 more clownies a couple more rummys and a turquoise snake skin discus.
But alas....

Ive noticed my Diamond Discus Bella has started darkening and sulking heavily since the weekend. Her skin has an almost whitish film across her body and it looks like it has a small snail trail across it. (sorry dont know how to quite describe it)
Do you think the clown loaches are eating at her protective slime? Or is this a fungus thing? I did a 25% water change last night with stress coat.
Help please, I dont think she will make it.

Ok just rang fish shop, they suggested I use some melefix first, see how that goes if that doesnt work I will try some different options.

Did the darkening on the Diamond happen after you added the new discus?
Was the new discus quarntined?

You can try adding salt at 2 tablespoons per gallon.
A med that might work is Paragon or Paragon II.

Hi

Only use salt if you can move the cory's and possibly the clown. I know the corys cant handle salt and others will say whether the clown can or not. Are the water conditions correct for discus? such as soft slightly acidic?
