Sick Corys Now

I know it can be an expensive hobby.

Not sure if myxazin is safe to use in planted tanks. Could you remove the plants before adding the medication.

Here a link to myxazin.

No as that would cause a complete mess, can you help me try to find out please? as otherwise I will have to cancel the order and find something else thanks.

Some sites say it can be used with plants. I would ask in tropical discussion.
I have used the medication but never had live plants to worry about.

yea I was reading that it should be used to steralise plants aswell so sound safe but will ask there aswell as I have also emailed them asking if it is safe thanks again.

well the product does get rid of the white marks but a few days later they reappear again. so is it possible that it could be the gourami nipping them that causes the white fungus looking thing? as after I dose for the 3 days the corys get red streaks as it must be stressing them our something. as I have now put the gourami in a breeder box and gonna see if after I stop dosing if the fungus thing comes back as if it does not I will have to rehome the gourami.

Best to lower temp when treating columnaris. As high temps speed up the bacteria.

COLUMNARIS

The hospital tank should be heated to approx. 74 degrees. 76 and above is the ideal breeding temperature for columnaris. Though there is some dispute over lowering the temperature, my experience has been that 72 is too low for the medication to work rapidly, 76+ causes the disease to breed more rapidly than the anti-biotic can kill, and 74 is "just right." Remember to keep this temperature stable!

Red streaking on fish body, fins is septicemia.
Where are the red streaks on the corys?

on the dorsal fin but go away within a day our 2 of me not putting in the meds, but I was asking could it be the gourami nipping them that is casuing the white fungus stuff on there tail as it only ever seems to be the same 2 corys not the other 2 as they have never had it?

Do the fins having raggy edges. Any uneven edges to the fins.
Do the corys still have the red streaking?
