Sick Cichlids

I think that its ammonia poisoning. I've had a recent problem with the ammonia hitting 8 ppm.

This is what the worst one looks like and I'm hoping that maybe you will be able to help me figure out something to help them? The only other tank I have that I could put them is a 25 Gal. that houses a convict mating pair, a Giant Diano and a pleco. This tank is overstocked. It has 12 convicts and 1 pleco in it. The pH is at 7.0 and the ammonia, last i checked about 1 hour ago was at 4.0 ppm. temp is at 26 Celsius. and it has a proper filter for this size tank.

Do a big water change (50%+) and add some ammo-lock, or product that will turn Ammonia into Ammonium (there are a few ammonia detoxifying products out there). How are the eyes? In the second picture the fish looks like it has a cloudy eye.

She is the only fish with the eye looking like that. We have done more than a 50% water change and have done at least 25% water change for two days. They seem to be doing better and my fish in the picture (now named Olive because we thought maybe pop eye at first before looking it up more) is doing so much better. She is moving more and is a lot happier. Her eye is not clearing up though. Could it be dead now? It does move sometimes but I’m not to sure. Either way she is mine till she’s gone even though my mum says we should have flushed her. We also have a 20 Gal. tank so we are going to get it set up and let it run for about a week before we transfer them.

Cloudy eye is a symtom of a desease not a desease in its own right.
Bad water quality
Stress
Irratation
Poor diet
Old age
Bacterial to parasite
