my blue ram male keeps on floating up to the top of the tank, not putting its mouth out of the water just sitting at the top (I couldnt find medical emergincies forum) but i can hold it and move it to the bottom then it will stay there then swim up again what is wrong!?!?!?

I just came home and its mouth got stuck in the filter and was dead :'(

Ah sad times, sorry to hear that.

Why would you grab it and push it back down again? That wouldn't be helping at all. It's not a decoration, you can't just move it around cause it's not in place.

My bolivians hung close to the top of the tank when my firemouth was bullying them cause it didn't like them being close to the bottom. hanging in quiet top areas of the tank is usually a sign of either poor water quality or aggressive behavior from other fish.

Not grab it! Simply put my hand over it and puch down and it swims down with my hAnds. My firemouths haven't been bullying it and as I said in the other forum my standards are 6.8 Ph 4D DH 3D KH and no NO3 NO2 ao NO1

You don't push a fish down if it's near the top of the water. That's just stressing it out more. It was obviously stressed in some way.
