it just lays on the tank base and lets some push food in its mouths to keep it alive

it has no life and should have been culled just like it wouldnt have lasted 5 mins in the wild

man thats dsigusting what your saying. I think yeah it prob shouldnt be up for show, but come on. Does that mean ugly/deformed/retarded should all be killed? Just because some of them are not capable to live without life support? Something should not just be killed because it looks weird, that fish does not know its any different. If it lived at birth its ment to be alive.

no its not disgusting, as t1k said that fish wouldnt last 5 minutes in the wild. Culling is part of any fish breeding program, you should always cull deformed fry. What quality of life do those fish have anyway? it/they cant even swim. Alot of these "siamese arowanas" are just one arowana with another one attatched, the attatched one is just a parasite to the other, dragging it down, and the parasite doesnt have any life anyway.

sorry i just couldnt let this pass, its completely ridiculous, as i said it wouldnt last a moment in the wild, the only reason its alive is because its in captivity and it has some person putting food down its throat for it. I dont think there would be a person doing that for it in the middle of the river, it would just be eaten in an instant, and a good thing too. Personally i think its disgusting that the owners have made it live this long, it should have been culled long ago, its sick how they are prolonging its suffering just so they can use it as some circus act.

Geo and T1K I you said exactly what I was thinking. the fish has no life. Even in humans often the parent(s) risk the lifes of there twins to have them seperated. Some even choose to remove the parasitic one (Knowing it wont survive) just to improve the liFe/chances of the other twin.

when fish have the technolagy to keep their fry alive on machines then fair enought but who gave someone the right to play god with this fish

you sound like one of the cruel people in the world that if their dog got run over buy a truck and was in a real bad way and the best thing to do would be to put it out of its misoryyou would spend thousand of $$$$$$$ to keep it alive even if it was in real bad pain and was never going to make a full recovery you would keep it alive even if it was suffering just because you didnt have the strenth to let it go

yeah i may have over reacted, it looks pritty bad it should be killed. But the first one was swimming around fine, didnt need to be killed.
