Siamese Tiger Fish...

Evening all,

Saw a beautiful Siamese Tiger Fish today in my LFS, all on it lonesome. It was a baby at around 2.5", think it was £20.

I know these can get REALLY big, around 18" in a large enough aquarium.

I'm just interested in the fish and wondered if anyone on here has ever kept them and has any info on them.

It wouldn't be a 'real' Siamese tiger fish you saw (D. Pulcher), but an indonesian tiger fish (D. microlepis).

I had one, great fish, always swam to the front of the tank begging for food. Huge mouth so choose tank mates carefully.

If you're considering one, I'd do a bit more research then decide if the fish is for you.
