I have just added (about 2 weeks ago) 2 Pearl Gourami's one male and one female to my 30 gal community tank. There are 4 Harlequins, 4 neon tetra's, 2 male guppy's, 4 female guppy's, 3 female platy's, one male platy, 2 cory's and 4 zebra danio's in the tank.
The gourami's currently spend most of their time behind the filter but do come out to feed. If they are out and someone walks by they quickly take cover behind the filter. The tank is heavily planted and all the stats are fine.
Are they just taking time to settle in? Are they just shy? or could it be the filter setting. Currently the filter is on max and there is a good flow with plenty of air bubbles. Should i turn the filter down?
All the fish are healthy but i am just a little concerned about the gourami's. They are only young.
Any ideas.
