has any body else got one of these in there tanks, they are awesome to watch  especialy at feeding times they just sit on something stretch out there webed hands and collect all the food in them and feed themselves like crabbs do

Ghost shrimp have always been entertaining to watch in my tank. Though in my case they're food for Nemo. Though since he's not the greatest hunter and his surroundings are a little tight the shrimp usually have a pretty long life spand since there is lots of places to hide.

I've kept Ghost Shrimp in the past and they're entertaining and useful maintanence guys. I may get some more soon.

In the past I have kept Cameroon Armoured Shrimps, Wood Shrimps as well as River Shrimps and Algae Eating Shrimps (Amano)

I have had one ghost shrimp before. My betta would go look at it then swim away so I thought he would have a companion. Two days later the shrimp was in three pieces on the bottom and my betta had a smile on his face. They are pretty neat, and I'm planning on getting some more for him later.

i love them we have 5 (caridina japonica- algae eating shrimp) they have tussles with our pakistani loaches & other fish over algae tabs & peas.... amazing to watch a tiny creature stand its ground & cling on to its 'find' even when a much bigger fish is trying to steal it :D

I'd like shrimp or some sort of creature like that but I don't know where to get them.

Are there any particular fish they do not go with? I was thinking maybe for my 2ft cube tank that will have 2 angels, 6 cardinal tetra, 4 otos, a plec (probably L066) and maybe chain loaches.

i have an algae eating shrimp in my 30L tank, he's so cool!

Doesn't get any trouble from the fish and cleans the rocks and gravel nicely aswell :) Subsequently my 30L is my cleanest tank at the moment and all the fish seem happy :)

I have a Cardinia japonica and its fun to watch him (her?) scurry up to pick up the flakes.

BTW how often do they change their shell?

I have a bamboo shrimp I believe also wood shrimp. He is really neat. He just survived his first molt with me and is already eating. I heard from someone at petco that they usually die after molting.

Ghost Shrimp are the cheapest to find and usually a good all around scavenger. Unfortunately for your selection of fish, Angels eat Cardinal Tetras as apart of their natural diet in the wild so you might want to reconsider that.
