Shrimps Clearing My Snail Problem

Wondered why there seemed to be a lot of empty snail shells of all sizes scattered along aquarium floor. My shrimps seem to like digging them out of their shells and enjoying a tasty snack between feeding times as witnessed tonight. I had far too many snails so another little bonus with the shrimps that keep giving

So far i think the shrimps are the most useful members of my tank, do they give presents to their owners at christmas or do bank loans at competitive rates
