I put a plant from my lfs (no label so don't know what it is), it was lovely but has "melted". I've taken as much out as poss but there is some slime round it. I believe these plants are best left where they are until they get used to the water parameters. There was already some fungus on a bit of wood and now I'm worrying if the shrimp will be able to cope with all this. The only other cycled tank I have is the one I moved hem out of a cause they weren't happy in it.
Will they be OK?

They should be, but try and get as much of the dead plant out as possible; can you not get it with your siphon/gravel cleaner? An extra water change would be a good idea too.

I'd just planted some grass plugs so it's all mixed in... might have to remove the grass and wash it
