Shrimp questions

My Betta just made picnic sandwiches of two of the cherrys in his tank. They hid inside the Cholla wood, but he caught them just the same. My other cherry shrimp share tanks with Amano, pea puffers, Kuhli loaches, sparkling gourami and albino corydoras without any issue.
Wow, the puffer leaves them alone?
I would not have guessed that...
 
I was surprised as well. They sort of look at each other and move on. Snails, scuds and bloodworms on the other hand... I do have an issue with the cherry shrimp playing basketball with the ramshold snails, dribbling and all.

Update: Nicodemus (pea puffer) ate his roommate (cherry shrimp). No more shrimp for him. ? - ? = :S

I excepted as much... shrimp and pea puffers don’t mix. :blink:

Female cherry shrimp are all red and much bigger, while males are smaller and have red stripes/spots. (My signature picture is a male)
