shrimp and crab food

Do these guys eat algae? Should I be dropping algae disks into the tank? What should I be giving the shrimp, I never see them eat?

Ghost shrimp eat algea. I know that they will accept flakes.

i would advise against target feeding crabs and shrimps. they are excellant scavengers and will find their food this way. If you feed them directly then they get lazy and you will hardly ever see them.

I have several bloodshrimps (which are notoriously shy) and cleaners in my tanks and never tried ot target feed them yet. They get their faire share though
