thinking of connecting tubing to my shower to fill my fish tank?
shower connector is 1/2 do u think it would be best to use 1/2" or 3/4" tubing. (needs to go 42foot)
this would allow me to adjust water tempature for return water.

What do u think ?

want to use tubing to empty tank as well (600L tank 50% change so 300L ish)

also not sure on connectors   ?

Half inch would do as the pipes going in to your shower are going to be that size probably so a bigger outlet wouldn't do anything.

Connectors? Anything that fits the shower pump. A plumbers merchant could help.

In truth house water supplies in the UK are more normally 15mm rather than 1/2".

Unless you are careful you will be refilling with chlorinated water. Have you thought this through?

I think that you can put chlorinated water in your tank for water changes as long as you immediately put chlorine remover into the tank. I've always been able to do it just fine.

Personally, I always use a mixer tap to refill my tank as there is no way I can allow 300 litres of water to stand overnight; I add Seachem Prime as I start filling up. I have been doing it this way for years and, despite my original fears about a build-up of dissolved copper from the cistern, nothing untoward has ever happened.

connected to shower and it works great and can set temp level , well happy took 8 mins for 100 L.
