i was thinking on assembling a bigish collection of platiesand wanted too see some pics of your platys with > matching mate < optional thanks i have *2 gray females * 1 male sunrise * 1 female 1 male panda * 1 orange balck female and male *and an orange black yellow male*

Mine is little Rosie no mates. I only have one, I chose her because she was tiny and the only one who could possibly be a virgin in the LFS tank.

I didn't think I'd like them for the longest time... then decided I wouldn't mind one for my tank as long as it was female and not pregnant.... and there was this ONE tiny one swimming in a tank full of coral blue platies... it was calling my name. She is way cute... I swear she eats like 10 guppies and doesn't grow.....

I have 12 adults and ssome gorgeous mixed fry. But the fry aren't really big enough to take photos of

I think she meant the platy has an appetite equalling the appetite of 10 guppies

So I managed to get a good shot of each fish! I know I said clear pics but I SWEAR there are 3 of them at least ! Only 11 of 12 are featured since my red platy 'Babs' is being treated and isn't feeling well. She is a rich ketchup red throughout her body and her fins are a see thru red.

Now, for the platy photobombing of the century, drum roll please.....

WINNA female Bleeding Heart Micky Mouse Platy/Tiger Mickey Mouse Platy (Orca's fry in background)

NECCO female Panda Platy/Ying Yang Platy

AURORA female Blue Mickey Mouse Platy (But has unusual/uncommon yellow fins)

SKOKIE female Sail fin Orange Black Tuxedo Platy (a mixed breed)

CRYSTAL female Green Platy (clearly a vibrant shiny BLUE and solid white body NICE!)

Oh wow Look at Skokies picture between when I first got her and now! Her dorsal fin and tail fin are almost now completely black!! I hope Winna's red stripes brighted and spread like that! Jeeez cool
