Should There Be Snails?

The zebras are poop machines, food goes in one end & straight out the other.
Never seen so much poop since I added one to one of my Betta tanks.
Trumpets you'll hardly see as they tend to come out once the lights are off
LOL!
I just want to see their shells if they leave those out of the sand. I might watch during the evening though.

At some point my plant should extend along the lighter part of my tank, thus efficiently producing oxygen, consuming toxines and providing shade and shelter for the fish. So the trumpets might come out still.

Side note: it's so easy to clean the sand with the net. Even fish poop gets easily hoovered by the net, not just plants.

Is there any chance that this new plant could have some critter eggs on it? I've washed it with tap water though. I hope that didn't hurt the plant. Even the critters would be welcome if they can be fish food.
The plant seems to be fine but I swear it moves according to time of day. o_O

It's aliiiiveee!! Oh wait...
Must be phototropism.
I just hope it doesn't die on me or become salad for the swordies. Tzuppy seems to love it, he's somehow landing on top of it and acting as if it's a fuzzy bed for him.

Well, now that a snail made its appearance (though it's tiny and was from the plant), I wonder if it will grow any bigger. It's a ramshorn snail and currently very tiny. It enjoys hiding behind my filter so I rarely see him. Last time I saw him, I came home from the mall / park and saw the tiny snail on the tank wall.

And the plant seems to be doing surprisingly well, even though it only gets some daylight for a few hours (around 7-8 hours). It started growing more roots and expanding. Most of the black leaves it initially had fell off so I fished them out.
