Should I...

I agree with everyone, you do need to get ammonia and PH test kits.

I bought a really good set that included PH, Am,. Nitrite and Nitrate.

My tank is now in its 10th week, but was not matured until its 8th week.

Even if you get your levels down to 0 Am and 0 Nitrite you still need your test kit because next lot of fish you add will = more ammonia, hence more nitrites and you will peak again. I found each peak was a little less, but i tested nearly every day for my cycling.

I posted more details in an answer to Nitrite spike problem other day, might be helpful to you(3rd one down) Nitrite spike post

Good Luck

Sounds to me like everything is running smoothly. If your worried just perform a 20% water change and that will dilute any ammonia and nitrite. If your still worried you can add some stuff called Cycle. Made by Hagen.
As far as I'm aware it will not affect any test readings that you carry out.
wait until everything is nil before you add anymore fish, then you wont have any problems. Good luck ;)

Woohoo! my nitrite levels are rising, and now are: Between 0.3-0.8, which means im moving through to the next stages in the cycle... So i should find ammonia goes down, then nitrite goes back down, and i should be near sorted :D.
1.Ammonia levels go up
2.Nitrite Levels go up
3.Ammonia levels go down
4.Nitrite Levels go down
5.Nitrate levels go up

me neither...I just don't find a tank attractive unless it has real plants :*)

"The little item in the tank by the filter, i will be removing and putting in a tunnel most likey, for my oto's to rest on and hide in.

Good idea? "

Sounds like a good plan to me :)

Thanks, well i saw something decent the other day when i got some fish, my gramp said to me "Do you want it?" i replyed saying "nah, i dont have space for it etc" and typically a few days later you want it LMAO Grr, i think my mums going to get it for me, when we go and get some gravel and an ammonia test kit.

I bought it second hand out of the local paper £30, with everything including brand new spare filter sponge and you see accept the gravel, plants, thermometer, scoober diver and bogwood. (it did come with some tank base stuff) but it was all crap.
It also come with a huge 4port air pump which rocks, because i can run a couple of tanks off 1 air pump if i want. As it is, im using two of the ports on my main tank.
Also come with a light which has a near brand new bulb thingy in, i believe its for plant growth as its a purple/blue white colour.

As soon as i saw it, i handed over the cash WAS SUCH A GOOD DEAL.
