Last night I fed the big tank in my sig live brine shrimp , this morning I couldn't find 2 of my peacock gudgeons :hyper: . It's been about 5 hours and no sign of either , just the other four :/ .

There are many places they could hide to spawn including plant roots[ where I can't see]. Anyone [CFC] have any ideahow long the egg laying and fertilization process tanks .

I really don't think the others could have eaten them :dunno:

Thanks for any help

The female should re appear within a few hours leaving the male to guard the eggs alone, he will guard them until the fry hatch in 4 to 6 days.

 Good call CFC , she came out minutes ago. From where :dunno: .

M.I.A FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS .[ she was in action , I just couldn't see ]

Looking tired , thin ,and is very, very hungry .

Thanks again .

The male has just come out now , to look for food I guess , looking a little spent as well.

He keeps returning to the spot I suspected the mating took place , under a large piece of shale .

All those 5/8" tubes and the smallest flower pots I could find [ to big ]must not have seemed very natural to him .
