Here are the 2 filters I have with 2 carbon filters in each one totaling 4 cartridges. Do I need to remove these while doing a fishless cycle?

Whisper® PF-60
Mechanical Filtration -- To remove particles such as uneaten food, bits of plants, fish waste, etc., from the water

Biological Filtration -- To provide for the growth of a colony of beneficial bacteria that will eliminate harmful toxins in the water

Chemical Filtration -- Activated carbon removes compounds that cause odors and discoloration of the water
Designed for ease of use, Whisper® Power Filters use Bio-Bag® filter cartridges for mechanical and chemical filtration. The disposable Bio-Bag®s remove waste particles, discoloration and odors from aquarium water. Bio-Bag®s are easy to change, making it easy to maintain clear aquarium water.

Hmmmmm, im not 100% sure if the carbon would take the ammonia out or not.
You could always just take it out if no one else answers till its cycled then put it back in.
