Should i put whitespot treatment in after buying new fish, I went to buy some new fish today. They gave me a paper with information saying i should put a treament in after 24 hours, iv been fish keeping for 2 years now and i have never heard anythink life this before,

Has any one else any advices welcome

Sorry about the spelling, a very weak point for me lol

You should never put chemicals into your tank if they are unneeded... The best thing is to have a QT (quarentine tank) and just let the fish stay segregated in that tank for atleast 3-4 weeks. Most diseases will show up, if they are infected, in that time frame. After this QT period, you should be fine to put the fish into the main tank.

Ox :good:

Thanks mate, that what i thought. because the more you use chemicals the lest it works when they need it and its also no good for your filter, i just think that they got to stop telling people to buy chemicals for everythink
