A week ago I got 2 Peppered Cories and put them in a 20C (70F I think) tank which is 3 degrees lower then the tank at the shop
Later 1 of the cories died for an unknown reason. The other Cories has been fined and is very energetic especially when foo is dropped into the tank
Should I get 2 more cories because I am wouldering if the temp could have killed my former one

my brother (who was the one who bought it) said it was more sluggish then the other cories at the petshop

your temp is low do you have heater.
and what are your water stats (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,ph)??

they really do best in groups of 6+ so assuming you have the space you should get a few more :good:

that being said, always leave it a few weeks after any death before adding new fish incase there's a problem in the tank, try and get a confirmed diagnosis of what went wrong and fix it before adding more fish.

Sorry I don't know the ammonia, nitrites, Nitrates but I probably buy a ph testing kit before I get the cories
I have no heater which i think might not be good for the cories but the other cories which is normal, eating and energetic

also after the week and a half of getting them no other fish has shown any signs of infection or sickness

I would for sure et some more, and defenatly get a heater, cories do best at 68 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 24 degrees Celsius).

before adding anymore fish you must get a test kit for ammoni, nitrite, nitrate, ph.
these are the basic test kits which you must have, at least ammonia and ph.

these are extremely important when it comes to adding fish and maintaining water conditions.
if these arent correct your fish will just die off.

U should also know that you shoudl have a heater it is compulsory for tropical fish.
as even if it is warm without one the temp will fluctuate far too much.

i think you should sort out these problems before even thinking about adding anything else.

how big is your tank?
what fish have you in there at the moment?

Unheated tanks are probably fine in Sydney and Mexico. But for us Aberdeen/Sheffield residents, a heater is a must. If you have room get some more, although I have had 2 remaining for the last 2 years and they seem fine (although there are lots of plants for them to feel secure)

My 18 month old son loves them.
