Here are my ten's fishless cycle parameters:

Ammonia 0.0

Nitrite: off the scale high... The highest is 10.0 my test will go, 5x pinker than this square

Nitrates: over 80-90. Last night they were at 40-50

So, should I do a water change to bring down the nitrite level a little? Or should I wait until nitrates reach 160 or 200+?

Or should it be fine to leave it alone?

B/c i know I ain't gonna have enough fish in there to keep all that bacteria alive...

(I add ammonia daily and that's why nitrites continue to rise...)

As long as you don't have any fish, let it go. As you said, the nitrite will go off the chart and then when it starts down, the nitrate will go off the chart. You are very close to finished though. Then do a 90% water change and you're ready for fish.

I also say leave it be and continue with the cycle.

See if the link in my sig, about my fishless cycle, helps at all.
