Should I Add Fish / Cuc?

Ok so my Live rock has been in 2 weeks now
I also put in two containers of ocean water and a bag of live sand
My levels were at Ammonia 1.5 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0
Im sure everyone disagrees with this as much as me but as you do in the spare of the moment I took the LFS adice after one week and added a single damsel.
He has been in for a week now and fed him the last 4 days my levels are all zero
Skimmer is starting to pull some muck out the water eventually and after returning home from work today, I have the top layer of my rocks which are only 6" from the lights, with brown algae starting to form, also the sand/crushed coral has a beige tint to it.
Is the brown algae a good thing to be getting/bad thing cycling wise?
Was thinking this weekend should i add a couple more fish or maybe a clean up crew as there called.
What is a clean up crew and what are they cleaning? Hermins and snails I presume? Is it the agae and stuff they are cleaning up? Tank is 720litre and will eventualy hold large angel or two tangs and trigger fish.

I hope to one day be able to answer questions instead of asking them

i would add cuc this weekend, they are used to consume algaes and detrius and other wastes so there for most have no effect on the bioload, also incluced in cuc are shrimps. id get quite alot of snails and some hermits

yeah, go ahead and add a bit of cuc, so long as Ammonia and NitrIte are both ZERO. Nitrate wasnt to be as low as possible too. I would see how you get on for at least a week after adding the CUC before attempting a fish that isnt a damsel.

That looks very nice.

Im never very good as estimating the amount of CUC you need. Crabs can be a pain though. Eating each other, snails and fighting for shells. When all my hermits die i wont replace them. Snails do more donkey work imo anyway. Dove snails are good, the breed like rabbits so you get free CUC
