I was just reading a post by one of our younger members asking about how to raise money for a bigger better tank when I saw a suggestion to sell fish on the net. Now i have heard of mail order and such but always was curious how that was done. My wife had a Parott when we met; We were going to fly somewhere but couldn't take the bird as it would freeze on the airplane. When we moved we had to keep the bird in the fron of the moving truck because it got to hot in the back.
It seems that anyway one could "ship" a fish would either have temp, air, sloshing and assorted other problems. So to satisfy my curiosity, woiuld someone please let me in on the secret. Sorry my mind must be a bit dull from all the pain pills I was taking. :/

HI MrBink

Fish are shipped bagged, (generally double bagged), in polystyrene boxes with heat pads. If you look in “member’s aquarium pictures” at the post “new arrivals” You can see CM unpacking some fish that have just been shipped.

Hope this answers you questions
