I have a few questions for my new tank that I plan on getting. Here I go:

How many can I have in a 16 gallon bowfront?

How much will crushed coral raise the pH?

Will multiple males fight to the death or just chase each other?

What tempature do they prefer?

What do they prefer? Blood worms, tubifex, brine shrimp?

If I can keep a German Goild Ram alive, can I keep one of these alive?

I'd start out with 1m/3-4f, they are prolific breeders and it's very likely they will soon fill your tank. You may be able to get away with 2 trios (1m/2f) if you are able to sell/give away the resulting fry and set up different territories for them.

I depends on what your starting PH is.

Male multis are very feisty and will chase off fish much larger than them, however, as long as they are given enough space I don't believe they'll kill each other, not sure on that though.

What tempature do they prefer?

Around 77 - 79 F

What do they prefer? Blood worms, tubifex, brine shrimp?

They'll eat all of those, but IMO should be fed those as treats a couple of times a week and should have a staple sinking pellet/flake

If I can keep a German Goild Ram alive, can I keep one of these alive?

They not that difficult in terms of general care, but like most Lake Tanganikya cichlids they are sensitive to high nitrates so need very clean water. :good:

These guys will breed in a 10 gallon. 1 male for every 5 females you should be good. I would do 2m/10fem. Use PVC so they can go in and breed inside. Also when you want to pull them out and you have shells in the tank they will go in the shell and mite get trapped. Thats why PVC is good aswell. PH should be up anyways/// Just chase if you have enouf females. Temp around 78-80 ... I would feed them veggie diet and once a month do protien ( worms & shrimp)
