Ah well, wolf in wolf's clothing after all.

Nice tex though.

Nice little texas, I just love these guys.

yes you right H.carpintis
update i've lost the injured the female green severum and the male severums is holding his own mind you he is only 4 inches bigger than tex but there defantly aggession between them and i truely think at texas could and will sooner or later (once he's past the six inch mark kill or badly injure like he's already done to the female). a good friend who works in my lfs
has offered me £ 65 for my male severum
which bring me to the next big question what to get to replace my lovely sev's
ps i'm trying to work out what sex it is?

You're getting into the whole realm of semi-aggressive tanks here. Personally, I'd get rid of the tex and keep the sev, but it's obviously not my tank.

As for tankmates, that depends a lot of the size of the tank.

A lot of the semi-aggressive CA's get big. Possible smaller options are salvinis and convicts. Larger ones are any from the vieja/paratheraps/theraps complex. Some p[eople put much more aggressive fish like red devils, festae, jags and dovii in with texs but I would not, as the tex will end up getting torn to shreds in the confines of anything but a truly enormous tank.

agree with hamfist retuen the texas and keep the sev. as nice as they look they defo have a nasty nature from the short experience ive had keeping them..... i tried everything to keep them but nothing i did worked they just became a nuisence and attacked everything

but on the other side of this star keeps them very well behaved in her tank so
