So, I was hoping for some suggestions for the next tank. I don't really want to go into salt water. I was thinking Discus. I have heard they are very sensitive, then I have heard that has largely been bred out of them and that they aren't nearly as bad as they once were. Any Discus owners that can give me some first hand info?

I love the long tank.

I would do a tetra tank. Several species with large groups. So many beautiful kind of tetra out there! And a nice group of Coryadora. It's big enough for Mystery snails, too! Maybe add a group of Honey Gourami? Nice healthy Congo tetra are gorgeous!
Danio are beautiful in large groups...otherwise too spastic, for me anyway...

Rainbow fish tank, all kinds?

I have small tanks so not sure what else there is...

Tetras huh? I'll look into that. Pretty much ruled out the Discus. Too expensive, and just require al bit more attention than I have to give right now.
