BTW, they are egg-layers. They are cold blooded, not tropicals and are real waste factories They can get big, the ones in my pond are easily 6-7 inches long.
i have 3 big comets which are about 8 inches long and 4 little ones which were fry last year. they are about 2 inches long. i have no idea which ones are boys and which ones are girls, though
