Sexing Bichir's

The title says it all. Does anybody have pics of both male and female bichirs? Thanks in advance guys

Not got a pic, but they are sexed by the anal fin shape, females are slender males are more muscular and spade like

what species and how big are they?The sexual dimorphism on bichirs is fairly obvious the males anal fin is approx. twice as wide as the females
and much more muscular-Anne

Well the bichir has to be sexualy mature 6-8" depending on the kind.

Hi Snowflake, I just stumbled on this I am hoping you are still around, can you help to ID my Senegal Bichir as to if it is male or female?? I am getting an albino soon and I want to see if I can get an opposite sex so they might not be so competitive.
