Severum Sex

Hi, I have two severums both a lovelly bright orange, they bothe have the same style/shape fins so how do I know what sex they are?

Males of most species (Efaciatus, Rotkeil etc) have worm like markings on there cheeks (not in severus, usually both sexes having cheek spots)

See the worm like markings. Females don't get any face markings or very little.

Thanks he is my baby. Got him when he was 2" now he is 8". He is my all time favorite fish and the only one I could never let go. I got him sep of 2009. Watch out severums will steal your heart or maybe it's just me.

At what size do these marking become apparent? I have a green and a gold, about 1.5inches. And are these marking visible on all severums, or those of darker color?
