Got a new member here!!!!!!!

What a gobsmackingly awsome fish in the flesh!!!!!!! pictures do not do justice.

I was sitting at home this morning with my 4 year old looking at the firemouth we would be collecting later, when he says he wants the tiger fish!!!. After a long discussion about we couldnt really afford it, and him emptying out his moneybox of 1p & 2ps asking if he had enough, we ended up with "tiger fish" too. I have been sat here watching him for the last 3 hours going from black to stripy to yellow, orange back to stripy. I am hooked!

Welcome to the mad world of Severum keeping :)

He will change colour often, cant wait to see pics of him as he grows up, really happy your happy with him, its nice to know he's gone to a good home.

The serv had me in stiches this morning (I gotto get him a name!). I gave the turtle a prawn but the serv picked it up and swam off round the tank with it, poor Atlas (the turtle) was swimming as fast as he could but couldnt catch his breakfast. The firemouth suddenly decided this looked a good game and joined in. Then the serv tried to swim through the log with the prawn still in his mouth but it got stuck and he dropped it. Atlas managed to grab it and he swam off with it. The shark then joined in keeping the serv & firemouth at bay while the turtle tore open the prawn, then the shark let them join in picking off the bits of prawn Atlas was shredding.

Do you think my Big Gold is a 'Gold' or a 'Red' or both? (cross)...its always a common debate between me and my mates, sometimes he looks really red, other times really gold but never 'lemon' liek most golds ,always bright yellow to orange.

I rehomed my Turquoise/Green today I traded him and my over agressive Firemouth for a Blue Acara :) (never had the room for 3 sevs, was just seeign what the 2 little ones turned out like)

Well Im down the just one Sevvy now, Star4 has my two little chaps, Termy doesnt seem to be bothered, he is still tank boss though

I had a tank re-arrange took out the large pieces of redmoor wood and made some more cave type areas, this is Termy discovering he could get in one, but wasnt sure how to get out again

Stunning looking fish!!!

Well adding the servs & firemouth to the turtle tank turned into a disaster due to my grumpy agressive kissing gourami! but the great news is they are all loving their new tank dispite the size of their tankmates! means a bit more work for me with water changes, but wow they are worth it. Both servs fed from my hand this morning. I was placing some fish for the plecs and they both came out to see what I was doing and had a little nibble. I still have the loopy grin on my face lol...

The blur in front of the plecs nose is Timmy displaying shame the picture is so poor because he looked fantastic, the plecs sadly were not impressed at his dance lol

Oh loook my wee babies  Look to be doing well, I guess they are no longer with the turtles then. Those plecs are mahoooosive!!!

Well big boy sev has gone back to the lfs. I got 7 quid for him which was spent on plants and algae wafers.

The other sevs look more peaceful now, so I will catch them as they get bigger and return them to the lfs.

Could I add a EBJD to the tank as a baby once all but one of the sevs are gone?

Mags I had to move everyone but the kissing gourami out of the turtle tank, she went bonkers attacking everyone after her spell in the hospital tank. I tried her in my tank with other gourami's she went for them, I put her in with the plecs and she was attacking their eyes. Its a shame because the one serv (who I called Timmy) was soooo in love with the turtle. He is happy making friends with the plecs though.

Wait till Hemley gets as big as mine lol

Heres some new pics of my babys :)

My Gold is so photogenic lol!

I think he has paired with my Red Spotted already which i suspect to be a female :S they are together 24/7 wheras the little one (the one I think is a Rotkeil) never goes near them :S
