I haven't been around on the forums for ages, I'm glad to see the sevs have their own fan club now! If I may I'd like to join, here's some pics of my pride and joy, Earl. We have had him for about a year since we set up our cichlid tank, he is around 8" - a real big boy (at least I think it's a he - can anyone confirm?). Also what type of sev is he - he doesn't seem to have the same colouring as the others on here...

He's a real gentle giant, but will defend his title of King of the Tank, and always wins!

that last pic is not very good, but you can just about make out his turquoise colouring, he changes colour a lot!

He is a he IMO and very nice too.

Heros efasciatus would be my guess, they have various colour strains, have a google and see what you think.

Man I want one of these Rottys they look awesome.

The only Sevs I see around here are Greens,Golds and occasioanlly Red Spotted.

I have a Adult Male Gold and a Green....not got any pics of my green up yet,he is kinda dull tho,just a dark green colour nothing fancy,the Gold is pretty tho.

He lives with a green,Pearl Geo,Threadfin Geo,2 x Firemouths and 2 x Angels + 4 Black Widows and a Gibbiceps Plec.

Spike, my male green Sev seems to have developed a taste for Tiger Barb eyes! to be fair the tiger barbs are getting old and a little weak and Spike only picks on them if they are on their last legs. i found a dead Tiger Barb with a missing eye 2 weeks ago and i watched Spike munch another one today.

to be honest i would like to get rid of the Tiger Barbs and Spike is doing me a favour but its not the ideal situation really, he just seems to sense that the fish is weak and takes advantage of it.
