and how'd ya know he isn't going to buy a large sev? my gold one was at least 5 inches when i bought him for 20$...

even so,my other sev was only 3 1/2 inches the first time the cons spawned..and still..there were no issues...

Hey , I'm not arguing , merely making an observation , I think your tank is big enough to afford room for all fish [ 2 cons and sev ]involved , what ever the sizes .

Sevs grow at a pretty good rate BTW , we got ours in July at around 2" now he's almost 8 " [ from nose to the end of his tail ]. His tail now is 3/4 s the size he was when we got him [ distance , not mass ]. They have a much larger adult size to reach than cons do , so I guess the growth would seem slow .
