Setting up new Marine tank..Need advise

Rock salt can be anything from potasium Bromide to Calcium Iodide, It really doesn't matter, Aquarium salt is a special tonic blend of salt. Marine and reef salts are the only ones suitable for a salt water tank

Only use Aquarium grade Marine Salt., the fish, liverock and inverts are simply far too expensive to risk an alternative salt.

Now that I'm cycling my tank, whwn can I start testing my water params? Should I wait on the 4th week or should I do it weekly during my cycle. All I do rightnow is test my slainity every couple of days. I aslo top off a cup of RO water every other day.
