Mrs. Badger's betta recently joined the choir invisible, so we have a 5 gallon cube tank on our hands. The Badgerling and I would like to set it up as an invert tank, both for life food, and because inverts are interesting. I'd like scuds, water fleas, copepods, seed shrimp, freshwater isopods, some sort of worms. Any advice, pointers, pitfalls to avoid?

uh.... what was that? LOL- I am very interested to see more about this- every day I realize how little I know about this hobby. I love it!!!!

Yay invertebrates! They don't get enough love. I adore amphipods (scuds). I'm having to look up some of these common names lol. I honestly had no idea that amphipods were called "scuds" or that ostracods were called "seed shrimp". I love the idea of a tank for inverts that aren't the usual shrimp and snails. I guess my only advice would be to have plenty of microalgae for them to eat!

Looking forward to seeing this come together!
Me too! No idea whatsoever what I'm doing! ha ha Tried an invert tank a few years ago and it failed spectacularly through lack of maintenance. Hopefully this one will go better. We shall see.
