Setting Up A 125 Gallon Malawi W/pics-going To 75 Usg Now

Well, I believe I have my first fish that's holding :fun: It's a pundamilia nyererei. I'll try and get pics. I can't find the charger for my camera batteries  and the batteries are dead

oh, I'm trying to upgrade my camera....b/c we NEED a better camera to take pics of the kids(what I told my hubby) and then it'd be great to have a nicer camera for the fish too. Can't decide if I want a digital SLR or just go w/a Kodak that has a 12x zoom....

Congrats on the holding fish. :good:
When I upgraded cameras, I ended up getting a Canon Powershot S5 IS (I bought it earlier this year so I'm sure there's a new model available). Great camera, it similar to the Kodaks you're talking about, but doesn't go through batteries as fast. When I was researching cameras that was the biggest complaint about the Kodak 12x cameras.

OMG, I can't get pis of her. She hides in the rockwork and she's only about 2" long. Well this was the best crappy picture I could get...lol. You can kinda see how she looks like she has a full mouth.

My camera was only $200 and that was about 4 years ago. It really kinda sux.

Here was during a water change.

I actually run the hose out the front door to give the grass a drink when I do my wc. I think it enjoys it. My hubby doesn't b/c he says he has to mow more.

I would say she is definately holding. As for your husband i feel his pain.

Since it'd been a couple days, I figured she was holding :)

I was really surprised. I've read about it and looked a pics but for it to finally happen in my tank

:yahoo: :yahoo:

p.s. If it was an undeveloped male that was choking (like I said in my other post) it would've died already :S

Hey - great journal! I'm 3 months in on my first cichlid tank and enjoyed reading everything... I've felt some of the same pain! Best wishes!

Hey thanks Mav!! Aren't these fish really great!! That's why I want to keep them even though I'm settting up a marine tank. They really are wonderful fish!! And I enjoy their antics

Good luck w/your tank!! What's your stocking?

OK, I'm going to watch for some synos as I want Synodontis njassae. That's the only syno from Lake Malawi.

I decided I'm not going to watch for them as they can get 10" long. To big for my 75 gallon.

Well, i just brought home my 75 gallon tank this past weekend. Now we need a stand. That's the only thing we need and then I can move them over. I suppose I should get started disinfecting the tank. When I move them over, I'll put the crabro in also.

I'll put up picks later :)

Thanks...He's one of my favs.

I just can't wait until I can set up my other tank and have larger rocks and such. And redo the background...and this and that :)

I'm thinking I should do a profile on C Afra as one hasn't been done yet. I have a few pics that would work, but I'll wait to take better ones of "King" w/a better background.
