my male krib just just swam to the top of the tank like a jet, then just floated down on its back and died?
my water is fine my female krib is fine all my other fish are fine its like it just went pop one min it was swimming happily
then it died?

What exactly are your stats? I have had a male guppy swim around and then float to the top dead. I would think a heart attack. Or old age. How big is/was he? Was there any bullying? Sorry for your loss.

he was about an inch, and has been fine no signs of anything feeding properly i fed bloodworm today and he gobbled them up.

my stats was

ammonia=0

Nitrite=0

nitrate=20

pH=6.8

i normally get my partner to check the results for me because my colour matching skills are a bit poor so that is an approximation.

Well, i would go w/ heart attack. As at 1 inch it could be old age. If there wasnt any bullying i would just go w/ heart attack. Sorry i cant give you a definent awnser!

Get another male. But take the female out and re-arrange the tank, and them introduce both fishies at the same time.

i got another male krib, he is about the same size as my female, i moved all the rocks about before putting him in and the got on fine......at first and now my female is hiding again and just being well depressed? she realy pirked up at first now she has become all reclusive again? she has also now lost her red belly there is almost no colour at all?

Will take her a bit of time to get used to not only the new male but new surroundings.

Give them time to settle down, and hopefully they will form a pair bond. :good:

well its still early days.

im getting seriously worried now whenever the male goes near the female she lays on her sid and plays dead???

Hmmm, he might be a big bully. I would take him and put him in a breeder trap and see if the female perk's up over night. And if she does, he's a bully, and if she dosent, she's probably sick. She looks real stressed in the picture, but your male looks pretty good!

kribinsis12 you are my savior as soon as i put him in the trap she is out swimming blowing rasberrys at him, he is a real nice krib as well i hope they can grow to like eachother.

I wouldnt go as far as saviour, but your welcome! I would let her settle in for a couple days and then let him out and see what happens. Glad to hear she is doing better!
