I was pretty worried about my bichir, but since the worms hes been fine, nothing wrong what so ever.

I found this worm the other day and though he'd want one seeing as i havent been able to catch one lately, but it was only when i dropped it into the tank did it extend to twice the size. I only use ones half this size normally, i was already recording and he was already moving in so i figured i'd just grab it if he struggles. But a minute later it was gone :)
I still wont be feeding him one that size again. Whats the rule for using worms as food?
Havent found anywhere online that has said.

Nice!

My sen loves worms, your is lucky because all he has to worry about eating his food is a tetra, mines got an oscar to escape from.
There isn't really a rule but if it can fit it in his mouth then he'll eat it.

Lol thanks, yeah thats my sisters annoying fish, she never thinks about what she gets, she just raids the 50p odds and ends tank at any LFS <_<
Its stolen the last 2 worms i tried to give my Senegal previous :(

Yeah, be careful though as that senegal gets bigger he will take out those tetras one by one.

Yeah i know, pretty annoying. We've had that tank for years, and my mum and sister always pile tiny fish like guppies and tetra's in so i cant have my fish, i finally get a chance when the tanks empty then they go and buy even more knowing about my fish <_<
At the time i got him i was told some false information about size and tank size so i think im going to have to rehome him when hes too large, pretty gutting, my favorite fish.
Unless i get lucky and im allowed a 50 gallon.

Love the way they rip their food by death rolling it.

And for the above poster... 8-9 inches is considered a good size, books will have it at 12inch but im yet to see one at that size.
