Senegal Bichir

went and got him this morning. size wise id say around 6 inches seems to have identity issues tho lol as hes constantly swimming around mid to top water and literally doesnt stop! hope he works out im already taken with him .

sounds like typical juvi bichir behavior mark, when they are young they spent the majority of time in the upper half of the tank, zipping around and then resting on the tops of ornaments and plants or on top of floating plants

yep davo thats pretty much exactly what he does. seems to be settling in quite well doesnt get nervous when you approach the tank and has taken some dried bloodworm.

I have a senegal birchir and kept him with babie bristlenoses without a problem, i think the video link is that is probally all they get fed by the looks of it so it has no choice, mines been kept with small corys/guppys without incidence :good:

They are great fish to keep, only time i had probs was he ate the angel eggs but thats my fault for keeping them together

I saw one of these in seapets, tollgate the other day, looking at where you're fromI'm guessing it was the same one? lol.

Hope it works out okay in your tank, if not you'll have to get another tank, lol!
