Hi,

Im looking to sell my centrepiece of my tank, as im switching to shelldwellers soon. Im looking for your advice really.

Im not sure how much to price my wood/java moss for as i have not seen on this size before

could someone give me an idea of what this could be worth? and how i would go about delivering it without damaging anything?

I was thinking of splitting the large ball at the top right into 10 separate portions? Its alot bigger now than the photo link below

My link

thanks for your help darren

How much are you selling each ball for, and where are you based?

lol which continent are you on? united kingdom or united states?

hi im based in the north east of England

im unsure what price to sell at to be honest.

thanks Darren

You're best off measuring the size of the wood. You can then have a look in the classified section and see what other ppl have sold a comparible sized piece for.

I would say $20-$30 over here in the states that = 12 - 18 pounds. Maybe even $40 if it is over a food long. I can't tell how big it is.

i paid £20 for the wood alone and theres a substantial amount of java moss covering it.

the dimensions of the wood are just over 2ft by 1.5ft high by around 1ft in depth, and its covered in good quality java moss

thanks Darren

Its not worth more than £20, you really over paid for the wood... look on ebay, java moss on bogwood for good sized solid pieces of bogwood for £10-£15

I use to sell bogwood with java moss on 1ft pieces for £8
Moss balls i use to sell for a £1
Handfull of java moss £3-4

thanks Darren

I'd pull the moss off the wood and sell it seperately in golf ball/tennis ball sizes ... couple a quid a ball? Then sell the wood on it's own ... or with a little moss attached? :)

Definitely worth more than £12 - £18 in my opinion :good:

I would..

Use 2 fish bags, put the moss in one with a little water, tie the bag and then use other bag to double bag it. send it in a envelope (one padded with bubble wrap i recommend)...

If you decided to go down the dragging it off the wood and selling it seperately , send me a PM as I'm looking to get hold of some Java Moss.

update: the upper right canopy of java moss is sold ?(got £30 as it filled half a bucket), so will not be selling any java moss separately.

thanks Darren
