Considering a home made chiller. I have a shed in the garden on the other side of the wall where my tank resides. Pipe from sump, thro wall into shed and run pipes into a freezer
with a few coils and back to sump.

Does anyone think this would work or have you any other ideas. I cant really justify £400 for a chiller and lost some stock last year due to 80 temp.

100 gall salt water set-up with sump in cabinate

Hey i'm thinking of doing the same thing, allthough i got a bar fridge with a hole in it allready (for a keg) I was thinking of just rigging up a very acurate thermostat and wiring it to the pump, but i think you may need a reasonably slow pump, especially if you're gonna go through a freezer, or maybe just less coils.

Less/more coils would give a method of control. Also a bleed off for the pump so a % could by-pass the coils.

Thanks for the responses.
