you can use CLR to clean the glass it should do the trick... it is a bit harsh but works great. be sure to flush the tank after using it

I have used the stuff (CLR) on many tanks over the years with out any issues. but like I said i flush the tank very well before i add fish

LOL sorry this isnt any help but I laughed when I saw the word "Crud". Haven't heard that since I was in Juniour school about 20 years ago!

It was the first word that entered my mind when I saw the stuff inside this tank

and isn't it the perfect descriptor? I should take a photo of the 10g I got from the same person. It's even WORSE. Ugh.
