Second Attempt At A Saltwater Aquarium

hey all i thought i would share with use my pics i have taken of my new marine tank, this will be rock,fish,star fish only tank!
i have to get my live rock but besides that.....
what do use think about it and what can i improve?

Nice looking tank and a great sand bed..love deep beds as when they mature can be very beneficial to the systems filtration

yeah cheers mate, i was advised to do a deep sand bed for that reason

no i am using a 1200l/h canister filter with matrix, and liverock crumbles, btw this tank is a 2x2x2 with around 15 kilos of live rock so far, i am planning to put more

can starfish live in a ph of 8.3 and a salanity of 1.024?

Cool.
The one thing that sticks out for me is the powerhead on the left. It seems in an odd position and is sort of blocking the view of the nice rock. Can it not be placed higher up and towards the front, pointing at the rock?

Just my opinion though!

Stars will do fine in those stats...best let it mature a few months b4 a star but..prefer mature systems with more micro fauna to graze on
Saying that...scavengers like brittles or serpents should be fine...just avoid green serpent stars as they predate and eat smaller fish
