Search Limits

Any chance of search limits being made more lenient so you can search on 3 letters not limited 2 four or more anywhere in the search.

It is a problem when you serching for acronyms like RTC

RTC means "red-tailed catfish"

I know what RTC means its a pain not being able to search for it.

I know that one of the small peeves of some users here is the inability of IPB searches to use text strings smaller than 3 characters.

You will find the option to remove this in the admin panel, This is not a "Inabilty" just a standard setting set by default. Only needs changing in admin panel.

This forum uses full text searches I bet and due to size switching to manual would be a problem, But its a big board and is it running on its own server (I.e. not just some rented webspace) if so the MYSQL config file can be edited to get over this problem.
