Well I don't think I'll be too popular for saying this, but! Do people use the search facility before posting? In 99.999999999999% of cases the answer is an emphatic NO!!!!!! :X

It's good that people have the time  and willingness to spend answering problems beginners have, but the number of repeat threads or at least very similar threads is getting stupid. There only seems to be three topics, cycling, which fish and what do i do now, and these have been done to death.

I know it probably sounds like I'm moaning, but i just want to create an interesting yet varied topic discussions.

i actually use it often. when i have a species specific or water problem specific question i'll use it. problem is, if you don't type in the right words, you might not get much. (as with all search engines....) i think the prob is that some people either don't see it up there or think it will search the web and not necessarily the forum.......

I use it where possible, but the problem is that ofter people have slightly different questions which have not been answered before, but a variation of them have. It is important that people understand an answer before plowing on and doing it. :)

I think that if someone has a question, no matter how similar it is to someone elses it deserves an answer specific to it, if only to stop misunderstandings and people getting things wrong...!

Long answer-I used it just now but as Fishy Breeder said that exact question was not asked & therefore did not come up on the search.

Short answer--yes
