Seachem Purigen

Hi,

Can anobody pls tell me if I need to remove Seachen Purigen from my filter when treating for parasites. The med says to remove carbon. Will purigen remove the med from the tanks?

I'm not totally familiar with that filter pad but it is considered a chemical filter so in that respect I would say it needs to come out when using meds. I personally wouldn't want to use it at all because their website says it removes ammonia and nitrite so i don't know how a tank would ever cycle with it in there.
