Hiya guys
Is there any way to remove scratches from a tank? I have a very long one on the outside of one of my tanks and it is really bugging me.

Cheers

As above Jewellers Rouge
if they're not too deep.
If its an option maybe try turning the tank around
Front becomes back if you see what I mean
Regards

Yes and the results are that when dry you get distortion as shown above in a couple of places (look carefully at writing) but with the water in the tank there is no distortion and only the deepest scratches are only slightly visible. It is worth it if the scratches are spoiling your fish viewing but if they can be ignored to some extent then it is not worth the effort.

Depending on how deep the scratch is, it can be very, very labour intensive and will take you 1 hour + for each scratch unless you use some course polishing grits and then go finer until jewelers rouge lastly. I just used Jewelers rouge and wouldn't do it again loL!

I just came back to see if you had tried and re-read you said the outside of the tank  . I should have said you will more than likely make things much worse doing it on the outside so might be best to leave it alone if you haven't done anything already :good:
